The qualification for the second competition in Zakopane did not go well for Borek
Due to a strong wind forecast, the qualification took place in the morning already. However, it did not bring much joy to Borek's fans. Borek showed one of his poorest jumps in a long time. His 106 m was only enough for the 48th position.
The first competition in Zakopane brought more WC points for Borek
Bora had a starting number of 14 in Zakopane and thanks to his 120.5 long jump he was at the second position, the first position occupied by Stefan Hula. Jure Bogotaj, who jumped right after Borek, was disqualified, Honza Matura did not beat Borek either, and so the next one to surpass Borek and push him to the 3rd position was Andreas Vilberg. Borek went down the standings list after the next jumps of Hocke and Peterka. After Jakub Janda's jump and the jumps of Guido Landert, Sebastian Colloredo, Robert Kranjec, Emanuel Chedal, and Martin Koch, he was sure to pass into the final round. Moreover, thanks to his well rated style, he also beat the excellent Russian ski jumper Dmitri Vassiliev and he started from the 29th position in the second round. Unfortunately, the second round jump was not so good. At the end, his 116.5 m helped him to reach the 27th position and to gain more points in the WC standings.
The qualification in Zakopane went well for Borek
Borek, together with his three colleagues from the Czech representation, qualified himself into tomorrow's competition in Zakopane. With his 118.5 long jump, he passed into the competition from the 24th position and he can be quite happy.
Another points for Borek in the WC
In the WC competition in Val di Fiemme on the HS 134 hill, Borek ended 27th. Once more, the competition took place in unfavourable weather, which greatly influenced the standings of some of the jumpers. Two members of the elite world top ten did not pass into the second round: Adam Malysz and Michi Neumayer. Apart from these, Dmitriy Vassilyev, Jernej Damjan or Matti Hautamaeki did not make it into the second round either. As for Czech ski jumpers, only Borek passed for his 120 m and Tonda Hájek with 121.5 m. The second round was brought to an end after a nasty-looking collapse of the Norwegian Bjoern Einar Romoeren, whose binding unfastened after the take-off and at the length of 55 m, he fell on his back. After a 15-minute break, the jury decided to finish the competition and to declare the results of the first round as the final ones.

And how did Borek comment on the second round? "It really was dangerous and the trace was getting slower. Moreover, it started snowing and raining at the same time, so there was really no chance to finish the competition."

Borek did not succeed at the qualification on the Paul Ausserleitner hill
Today at 1 p.m., the trial round for the first competition in Bischofshofen started. Borek's performance was solid: 124 m. However, he was not able to jump this far again in the qualification round and his 109.5 m were not enough to pass in today's competition. Let's believe that tomorrow Borek will do better and he will try once more to improve his result in the 4 Hill Tournament.
Qualification in Innsbruck
The qualification which was to take place today at 1:45 p.m. was cancelled and postponed until tomorrow 10:45 a.m.

Due to strong wind, only 24 jumpers participated in the training. That is why Borek, with his starting number 25, did not perform his training jump today.
Rovaniemi and Ga-Pa
In Rovaniemi, Borek gained important points thanks to his 11th, 13th and 24th positions. At the Continental Cup competition in Ga-Pa, Borek ended 8th twice.
Borek was unlucky at the weekend in Oberstdorf
During the first weekend in August, the Continental Cup competition took place in Oberstdorf, Germany; apart from Czech ski jumpers, the technical delegate from the Czech Republic Josef Slavík also took part in this event. However, he did not bring any luck to our ski jumpers. Let's believe that he shall do so at the World Cup competition in Harrachov and that Borek shall improve his personal best.

Borek's jumps in the training round had already shown that entering the 2nd round would not be easy and that every point would count. Even though Borek tried hard with his first competition jump, 111.5 m was only good for a 34th position. However, on Sunday Borek did better and after the 1st round he was at the 22nd position for 122 m, not far away from the top 20. Unfortunately, he was not lucky in the second round and he only jumped 115.5 m, which put him back at the 28th place. His current standing in the Continental Cup is 8th position.
Kranj
In partly sunny weather, the final competition of the Slovenian tournament in Kranje took place, in which the Czech team was successful again.Due to changing wind, the trial round had to be interrupted and afterwards even postponed. After that, the wind blew in an unfavourable direction for the ski jumpers, so it was very difficult indeed. Borek jumped 100.5 m in the first jump and this secured him the 12th position, not far away from the 7th place of Jurij Tepes. In the second round, Borek jumped 100 m and improved his standings to the 8th place. He was thus the second best Czech ski jumper.

We believe that Borek shall be the Czech no. 1 in the next competition again. We keep our fingers crossed and wish good luck for the upcoming competition.

Borek shining again
The Saturday Continental Cup competition in Velenje was mastered by the home representant Primoz Pikl, who has won today's competition sovereignly. Borek jumped very well in the first round - his 87 m guaranteed him the 4th position. In the second round, many of his rivals improved. Borek showed 88 m and he retained the 4th place from the first round.

Congratulations! Good luck for tomorrow's competition in Kranje.

Borek's start to the Continental Cup has been great!
After the first round of the Continental Cup competition in Velenje, Slovenia, on normal hill, Borek was at the 3rd position with his 89 m long jump , following his fellow countryman Martin Cikl.

In the second round, Borek's jump was a little bit shorter, and 86.5 m was just enough for the 6th place in the second round. Overally, Borek ended 5th.

Congratulations and good luck in the upcoming competitions!
Borek Sedlák takes the bronze medal again at the Championship of the Czech Republic
On Tuesday, the CR Championship organized by Dukla Liberec took place in Harrachov while snowing heavily. Apart from Lukáš Hlava, Antonín Hájek and Jakub Janda who were getting ready for the World Cup finale - ski flying in Planica - all our ski jumpers and our best nordic combined sportsmen took part in the competition.

In the first round, Borek jumped 82 m; in the second round, he improved his performance and managed 90 m, the third longest jump of the 2nd round. He thus beat his friend Jan Vacula and took the bronze medal. Congratulations!

The results of the contest for the most interesting question for Borek

3rd place: If a fairy came to you that could fulfill three of your biggest dreams, what would that be?
4th place: Borek, what would you do, if you right before the start of a competition found out that somebody stole your skis?
5th place: Borek, what would be more valuable for you: to win the Four Hills Tournament competition in Oberstdorf, or in Bischofshofen?
6th place: Borek, what would you say if one of the Four Hills Tournament Competitions took place in the Czech Republic?

In the World Cup competition in Kligenthal, Borek did not reach for points
In Kligenthal, a substitute for the cancelled World Cup competition in Harrachov last December, Borek qualified for the competition from the last position.

It was snowing throughout the competition and the contest proved to be a real lottery. The first round was annuled, and so Borek jumped two times in the 1st round. His 117 m long jump secured him the 40th position.

Borek commented on the fact that their colleague and friend Jan Mazoch was watching the competition: "He said that he was watching us all the time, finding out about results and telling us off for some jumps. Not seriously though. The main thing is that it continues this way. He was able to recognize all of us and even though we know him as a different man, it is getting better every day and we were happy to have the chance to see him."

Revising the summer training
A few days ago you returned from training in Zakopane. What was it like?
The hill in Zakopane is one of my favourite hills, so I really like it whenever I go there! Moreover, the autumn weather was really nice and the training on the large hill was superior.

In a few weeks, the World Cup and the Continental Cup is beginning. What are you going to focus on before that?
At the moment, I concentrate mainly on the right taking-off technique, on losing some weight and stretching.

The first Continental Cup competitions begin in Harrachov, the next week World Cup takes place in Harrachov. How do you feel about these home competitions?
I think it's great that we can compete on our home hills for the first two weekends in December and I am looking forward enormously to both competitions!

In first class I tried bicross, swimming and football which enjoyed me very much.. Then my father took me on ski jumping training, I jumped and it was decided.
